TOOLS

These paintings of tools were inspired by a thought Tony had when he was in the 6th grade. The teacher Miss Conn gave the students a school project where the teacher asked the students to make art from things that inspire them and to use objects they would like to use they pursued a career,  at the time Tony loved tools especially old vintage hand tools.  So he made a tree with coat hangers and then hung vintage tools from it,  he sure wishes he had that art project still, however his father wanted his tools back.  40 years later the idea of painting these tool sprang from that old memory.  Tony choose to use the hand tools from the carpentery trade.  He is quoted as saying "I still love the design and beauty of these ordinary every day objects, even today".  Therefore we are graced with a series of vintage hand tools.

Needless to say Tony never became a Carpenter. He created his own art projects  from the trade he became; that of a master furniture designer.

An art within itself.
